The Brenthurst Foundation has announced a call for applications for the Machel-Mandela Fellowship Programme.
An internship in honor of former South African president, Nelson Mandela, and his wife, Graca Machel, the programme aims to nature Africa’s future leaders.
Benefits
- Monthly stipend
- If required, accommodation (subject to Foundation policy) will be provided
- Other work-related expenses may also be covered subject to agreement with foundation
Eligibility
- Be under 30 years of age
- Hold master’s degree
- Be able to speak and write in English language (African and other languages will be an asset)
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be enthusiastic and reliable
- Be able to balance deadlines and attention to detail
- Have basic I.T. skills
- Copy editing and proofreading skills will be an asset
- Have passion for Africa and a keen interest in new thinking and strategies to strengthen Africa’s economy
- Have broad knowledge of African politics and economics
