Location: Benghazi, Libya
The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is seeking to fill the role of Technical Field Manager.
DRC provides direct assistance to conflict-affected populations including refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs).
Responsibilities
- Lead the resource and mobilisation effort and implementation of DRC’s humanitarian mine action (HMA) activities in Libya
- Identify and meet donor requirements for specific project
- Plan, implement, and monitor mine action activities and ensure regular follow-up of activities
- Ensure that mine action objectives and project implementation are consistent with the SOP frameworks, relevant international standards, and best practices in the sector
- Develop work plans and operational processes
- Represent DRC HMA in Libya and conduct meetings on behalf of DRC when required
- Manage and monitor budgets closely and report to operations manager and head of HDP
- Carry out strategic planning, development and rollout of future projects
- Support training and capacity building
- Support the operations manager and head of HDP in an all-other programme requirement
Requirements
- IMAS level three
- Project management qualification or equivalent experience
- Five years of project management and technical management experience
- Fluency in verbal and written English with excellent writing and reporting skills
- Knowledge of Arabic
- Work experience in INGO, community/refugee context will be a plus
- Computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
- Work experience in Libya
