CLEEN Foundation is seeking to fill the role of Project Coordinator.

CLEEN Foundation is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) with the mission to promote public safety, security and accessible justice through the strategies of empirical research, legislative advocacy, demonstration programmes and publications.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the realisation of project goals and those of the organisation as outlined in the strategic plan and directed by the executive director
  • Monitor all aspects of the project implementation to facilitate the realisation of the smooth and effective implementation of the project
  • Prepare periodic status report of programme activities
  • Work in close collaboration with operational staff of the Police Reform Transformation Office (PORTO)
  • Ensure facilitation of the planning and disbursement of funds for project activities
  • Ensure effective and timely fund requests and retirement of advances
  • Provide implementation of effective and strategic communication strategy
  • Provide capacity support to the Nigeria Police Force through the project where applicable
  • Undertake community policing assessment through facilitating and coordinating the drafting of a national framework, necessary regulations, rules, and policies for implementation
  • Conduct organisational capacity assessment of select police training institutions and training needs assessments of cadet police officers

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Humanities or a related field from a reputable university
  • Five years of experience in implementing policing programmes or a field related to security sector
  • Membership of a reputable professional body
  • Certification in project management will be an added advantage
  • Demonstrable team-oriented personality and leadership skills
  • Proven project development, fundraising and project implementation skills
