Submit: UNESCO Documentary Production Proposals

Deadline: 12 March, 2021

UNESCO has announced a call for proposals to produce documentaries on the reporting and access to information on migration in West and Central Africa.

West and Central Africa have nearly 150 million young people. A significant part of this population chooses or is forced, for various reasons (training, employment, security, climate change, etc.), to migrate to other countries of the sub-region and even beyond.

However, potential candidates for migration might be victims of misinformation, which has a deep impact on their migratory journeys, notably towards Europe.

Through the production and dissemination of documentaries project, UNESCO aims to analyse the problem of disinformation and misinformation, and implication in the
decision-making process of young people on migration.
