UN Women has announced a call for proposals on gender equality and women’s empowerment in general and on women’s rights to participate in public and political life in particular in Ethiopia.
Specifically, the proposals can include efforts to promote women’s full and effective leadership and political participation at all levels of decision-making and in all spheres of life.
Benefits
- The budget range for this proposal should be between U.S.$15,000–U.S.$20,000
Eligibility
- Open to innovative women rights organisations/civil society organisations (CSOs)/initiatives aimed strategically at advancing of women’s full and effective participation in public and political life in Ethiopia
- CSOs will need to have proven capacity to develop and implement innovative interventions
- Applicant should have extensive experience in working on women’s rights issues, particularly on women’s rights to participate in public and political life
- Applicant should have experience in developing and implementing advocacy, capacity building and strategies on strengthening women’s movement
- Applicant should have a track record of working with and organising women at community level
- Applicant should have experience and track record in the area of applying results-based management and its application to key processes
- Applicant should also have experience in working at federal or regional level in Ethiopia
