The U.S. Embassy in Windhoek, Namibia, has announced a call for proposals for a nationwide civil society-led project to help Namibia fight corruption.
Corruption is increasingly becoming an obstacle to the accountable, responsive, and transparent functioning of Namibia’s democracy.
Through this grant, the U.S. Embassy in Windhoek aims to assist Namibia in combatting corruption by empowering civil society in its watchdog function to increase accountability.
The multi-year, anti-corruption project is expected to bring together civil society, members of the media, the general public, the private sector, and the government to take concrete actions against corruption.

Eligibility
- Open to not-for-profit organisations, including think tanks and civil society/non-governmental organisations (local)
- Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education, can submit proposals
- If more than one proposal is submitted from an organisation, all proposals from that institution will be considered ineligible for funding
- If an organisation has a proposal with different programmatic deliverables, they should all be submitted under one proposal
