Submit: MFA Engagement, Accountability Proposals

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland (MFA) has announced a call for engagement and accountability proposals from Mozambican civil society organisations (CSOs).

MFA aims to support one to two consortiums of CSOs that have expertise and are active in the areas of accountability, citizen participation, access to information, advocacy and human rights.

Benefits
  • Funding can be up to €5.45 million

Eligibility

  • Applicant must be an official development aid
  • Applicant must be a registered and legally competent, Mozambican non-governmental organisation
  • Applicant must have been operational for a minimum of five years
  • Applicant must currently have funding from at least one other donor and a minimum annual income of €500,000 in the current or previous financial year
  • Applicant must have a functional board of directors
  • Applicant must be a non-partisan organisation
  • Applicant must demonstrate that their strategic goals align with at least one of the key thematic areas of the call for proposals and demonstrate past success in programmatic work related to accountability, citizen participation, access to information or evidence generation, advocacy or human rights, which has been evaluated
  • Applicant must have a solid financial management system, including regular financial audits, and a reliable monitoring, evaluation and reporting system, including capability to report in English
