The European Commission has announced a call for proposals for its grant programme to promote and protect defenders of human rights and fundamental freedoms in Tunisia.
The objectives of the programme are to protect and empower individuals to the full enjoyment of all human rights, whether civil, political, economic, social or cultural; promote functional, pluralistic, participatory and representative democracy and protect the integrity of electoral processes; and safeguard fundamental freedoms, in particular by exploiting the opportunities and meeting the challenges of new technologies.
Benefits
- Successful applicant will receive between EUR 400,000 and EUR 800,000
Eligibility
- To be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must be a legal person and have no profit motive
- Be a non-governmental organisation directly responsible for preparing and managing the action
