The British High Commission and the Chevening Alumni Association of Nigeria (CAAN) have announced a call for participation in the Chevening Essay Competition.
The essay seeks to stimulate thoughts on illegal migration, especially amongst young people, towards preventing breaches of immigration regulations.
CAAN comprises professionals who are beneficiaries of the Chevening Scholarship Programme for postgraduate studies in various disciplines in the United Kingdom.
Benefits
- First Place Prize: laptop and one month data subscription
- Second Place Prize: tablet and one month data subscription
- Third Place Prize: smartphone and one month data subscription
- Prize winners will receive certificates of good performance
Eligibility
- Undergraduate students in Nigerian public and private universities and in other tertiary institutions of learning
- Entry must not be more than 2,000 words, including references
- Entry must be original, as essay will be subjected to credit referencing checks
