With the fight against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) gaining much attention and support across Nigeria amidst the increase in reported cases, Accountability Lab Nigeria (ALN), through its ‘Voice 2 Rep’ initiative, has affirmed its support against GBV by using its platform to lend a voice to the cause.
Development Diaries gathered that the group took to their social media page to urge its followers to stand together in bringing an end to violence against women by uploading a video of themselves pledging to end gender-based violence.
ALN urged its followers to include ‘I will not use violence in my relationships’, ‘I will speak up if another man abuses women’, ‘I will support women working to end gender-based violence’, ‘I will teach boys not to abuse girls’, or ‘I will treat everyone with dignity’ in their videos with #IstandagainstGBV.
ALN is a platform that works with young people to develop new ideas for accountability, transparency, and open government.
