Liberia: Link Aid Donates Food to Widows, Others

Link Aid, a local Liberian non-profit organisation, has provided food items to single mothers, widows, and elderly people in the SKD Boulevard, 72nd Community, Paynesville, Liberia.

Founder of Link Aid International Eric S. Nyuma said that the emergency supply of 40 bags of 25kg rice to 80 households was done to help minimise the difficulties families were facing due to the Covid-19.

On the forthcoming special senatorial election, Nyuma encouraged Liberians to prioritise peace in their campaign messages, stressing that hate messages could escalate into a bitter civil war.

‘We can do politics with love, we can do politics with peace and unity, we need not be throwing stones and insults at each other in the name of politics’, he said.

In all that we do as we proceed to the election in December, please think peace, talk peace, sleep peacefully and just drink peace’.

The beneficiaries, speaking through Rose Nagbe, thanked Nyuma for being thoughtful to respond to the need of vulnerable Liberians during the prevailing economic challenges.
