Sadaqa Train Ghana, in partnership with VIOMIS Aid, has donated medical equipment to some health facilities in the country’s northern region to enhance health care delivery.
The organisations donated 16 electronic hospital beds, 13 hospital wheelchairs, four Zimmer frames and more than 100 bed sheets and boxes of medical consumable items.
Development Diaries gathered that the beneficiary facilities are the Gbungbalga CHPS compound, Yendi District Hospital, Yoggu CHPS compound, Tamale Teaching Hospital, and the Gambaga Health Centre.
The Northern Region member of Council of State, Professor Samuel Yakubu, speaking in Yendi, expressed gratitude on behalf of the Yaa Naa and the entire Dagban for the hospital equipment.
The representative of the Gambaga Health Centre, Anthony Asare, was particularly happy with the donation, appealing to other NGOs to support them with the provision of more beds and medical equipment.
For his part, the leader of Sadaqa Train in the north, Dr Alhassan Ahmed, urged the beneficiaries to take good care of the equipment.
Sadaqa Train Ghana is a registered association of Muslim youths with the avowed aim to help the vulnerable, poor and needy people in society and also to bridge the gap of comfort and knowledge among the cities and rural communities in Ghana.
The organisation operates in Northern, Middle and Southern sectors, with activities coordinated in Tamale, Kumasi and Accra.
