Delihalm Charity Foundation has carried out a free health screening for the people of Klukpo in the Central Tongu of the Volta Region in Ghana.
It was gathered that the residents, including youths and the elderly, were screened for various ailments and given medication.
Those diagnosed with serious health conditions were counselled and referred to hospitals. The non-governmental organisation (NGO) also provided food, chairs, children toys and stationery.
The gesture was in response to a request for support made by the Queen Mother of Klupo, Mama Ahiamrkpornorvio II, and youths of Klukpo to the founders of the NGO – John Halm and his wife, Mary.
Halm said the NGO was founded with a ‘core mantle and social mandate to solve problems of the needy, aged and marginalised’.
