YouthHubAfrica (YHA), with support from the UNFPA-UNICEF Joint Programme on the Elimination of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), has launched a monthly Storytelling Competition.
Titled ‘Courage: Breaking the Silence on Female Genital Mutilation’, the initiative seeks to echo the stories of young people across Africa ‘Breaking the Silence’ on FGM.
Benefits
- Cash prizes worth U.S.$100 each month for the next six months (18 winners will emerge with three winners per month)
Eligibility
- Open to young Africans between the ages of 18 and 35
- Only text is acceptable
- Maximum number of words is 400
- Stories should be creative and depict the reality of FGM
