Global Citizen has announced a call for participation in the 2022 Cisco Youth Leadership Award.
The award was established by Cisco and Global Citizen to recognise and lift a young person positively impacting the world, and as a way to demonstrate the significance that young people have in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Benefits
- The award includes a U.S.$250,000 prize paid to the organisation to which the individual contributes
Eligibility
- Open to individuals between the ages of 18 and 30
- Applicant must have contributed meaningfully towards the goal of ending extreme poverty
- Applicant must demonstrate a track-record of measurable impact over the last three to five years in advancing one or more of the SDGs
- Applicant must have compelling vision and concrete plans for how to extend this work in the next three to five years, including how the prize will advance efforts
- Applicant must be innovative with technology or internet-based communications to improve efficiency, reach, and magnify impact
