Fairtrade Africa has announced a call for participation in the Recover Africa Youth Competition.

The aim of this competition is to document the experiences of youths during the Covid-19 pandemic that can be expressed through media.

Covid-19 has affected youths across the world in a disproportionate manner. In its very unprecedented standard, the pandemic has caused harm that shall remain irreversible for a long time.

Among many other disturbances to life as they knew it, young Africans have faced disruptions in education and training, income streams due to job losses, and social vulnerability.

Benefits

  • Participant could win €500 to implement a community project of choice

Eligibility

  • Participants must be African youths between the ages of 18 and 35
  • Only video submissions of no longer than three minutes are acceptable
  • Only original works should be submitted
