The Jan Tarasin Art Gallery invites artists and graduates of artistic universities to participate in the fourth edition of the International Contest for Experiment in Visual Arts.
Contestants are encouraged to send works related to the need to experiment, and thus take risks or make interventions.
The aim of the contest is best expressed in the following words of Jan Tarasin, ‘Art constantly repeats attempts’ and ‘Good artwork always stimulates’.
Benefits
- Grand prize: Prize of Mayor of Kalisz, 10,000 PLN
- Second prize: Jan Tarasin Art Gallery Award, 3,000 PLN and an individual exhibition
- Third prize: BWA Tarnów Art Gallery Award, 3,000 PLN and a study stay
Eligibility
- The contest is open to artists and graduates of art schools
- Each artist can submit only one work/project in the field of visual arts, created between 2018–2020, without restrictions on discipline
- Projects or works can be both interdisciplinary and multi-elemental as well as made in a traditional workshop
