Cameroon’s First Lady, Chantal Biya, has donated agricultural and medical items to rural women and youths in Diang, through the Circle of Friends of Cameroon (CERAC).
CERAC also donated tailoring tools, hygiene and sanitation products, and also didactic material to secondary schools and the Multifunctional Youth Promotion Centre of Diang.
It is understood that rural women in Diang experience challenges in their daily agropastoral activities due to unavailability of appropriate tools.
East Regional Delegate of CERAC, Solange LE, who represented Mrs Biya at the handover ceremony, said CERAC teamed up with experts to assist the hardworking farmers of Lom and Djerem.
Head of the Bertoua Health District, Christine Pouth, said the medical donations will help raise the services and technical platform of hospitals in the zone.
