What: Stakeholders Breakfast Meeting on Basic Education Reform

Supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), the Malala Fund is hosting a breakfast meeting to launch a Universal Basic Education factsheet. The event will provide a platform for stakeholders and the media to engage over the latest Basic Education dataset. The National Personnel Audit of Basic Education report was released by UBEC in December, 2019. It was the first time Nigeria’s data on basic education covered both public and private schools.
The report also set in place a dynamic data collection regime for the National Basic Education Database. The event is timed to precede the special plenary session of the House of Representatives, and to come up in the lead up to International Women’s Day. It will be a forum for discussing key policy recommendations.
