What: Africa Investment Forum 2021, ‘Accelerating transformative investments in Africa’

A flagship initiative of the African Development Bank (AfDB), the annual business gathering will showcase transformative investment opportunities across the African continent, many of which hold the potential to drive Africa’s recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Covid-19 pandemic continues to test the resilience of communities and institutions across Africa. This situation calls for a stronger collaboration among development partners and innovative responses for building long-term resilience.
This year’s forum will involve boardroom sessions in Abidjan, while other attendees will participate virtually.
Invited participants to this third edition, including investors, project sponsors and decision-makers, will be presented with a pipeline of deals that are ready for investment.
Discussions will focus on agriculture and agro-processing; energy and climate; health; ICT and telecommunication; and industrialisation and trade. These are all sectors prioritised under the Africa Investment Forum’s Unified Response to Covid-19 initiative, launched in 2020.
