What: Africa Food Systems Forum 2023, ‘Post-Dakar Two: Food Sovereignty and Resilience’

The Africa Food Systems Forum provides a platform for the assessment of progress on implementing the outcomes of the Africa Food Summit, also known as the Dakar Two Summit.

According to African Development Bank (AfDB), the event seeks to bring together representatives from governments, the private sector, multilateral organisations, development partners, civil society, and researchers to discuss priorities and alignment of investment projects and mobilisation of financing for agriculture in Africa.

Speakers will include the Minister of Agriculture of Tanzania, Hussein Bashe; Minister of Agriculture, Rural Equipment and Food Sovereignty of Senegal, Ali Ngoulie; Minister of Agriculture of The Gambia, Demba Sabally; Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Angola, António Francisco de Assis; Minister of Agriculture and Food security of Sierra Leone, Henry Musa Kpaka; Global Director, Agriculture and Food Global Practice, World Bank, Martien van Nieuwkoop; and Vice President International Fund for Agricultural Development, Donal Brown.
