Apply: Yale Young African Scholars Programme

Yale University has announced a call for applications for the Young African Scholars (YYAS) Programme 2021.

The YYAS programme is an intensive academic and enrichment gathering designed for African secondary school students planning to pursue tertiary education and who wish to make meaningful impact as young leaders in Africa.

To keep everyone safe during the global pandemic, YYAS 2021 will be an online programme.

Benefits

  • Participants will enhance their academic skills
  • Participants will receive guidance on university admissions and career path options
  • Participants will join a network of young leaders from across Africa

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be at least 14 years old
  • Applicants must be able to participate in a rigorous academic curriculum conducted in English
  • Applicant must be a citizen or permanent resident of an African country
  • Applicant must be a currently student of a school in an African country
  • Applicant must be a current 11th grade student (or the international equivalent)
