The World Vision International is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Grants Acquisition Associate Director.

The mission of the organisation includes working with the poor, people who are oppressed, as it promotes human transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and lead proposal development (including design facilitation and writing) teams to pursue opportunities for funding aligned with World Vision Zambia Limited strategic priorities in a professional and timely manner
  • Accountable for leadership and decision making on proposal development for proposals at all value levels, both grants and non-sponsorship
  • Lead the development and monitor the implementation of the grant acquisition strategy and business plan, including reporting grants acquisition management metrics
  • Contribute to strategic planning and business plan development of other departments and World Vision Zambia Limited overall to ensure synergies and effectiveness with increasing and diversifying resources

Requirements

  • University degree in International Relations, Development Studies, or a related field with five years, minimum, of work experience in resource mobilisation
  • Ten years, minimum, of work experience in an international NGO
  • Five years, minimum, of lead writing and design of proposals for bilateral or multilateral funding
  • Strong relevant experience in managing relations with donors and partners and understanding of key donor requirement (specifically USAID, EU, and DFID)
  • Experience working in a change management situation, preferably as an active participant in that change
  • Experience with other international organisations, large NGOs and/or governmental development agencies
  • Proven skills and experience in project management and programme development
