World Vision (WV) International is seeking to fill the role of Consortium Child Protection Lead.

The mission of WV includes working with the poor and people who are oppressed as it promotes human transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall technical direction and management oversight for smooth project implementation
  • Prepare, in coordination with the liaison staff of the consortium responsible for protection, strategic workplans with clear objectives and performance criteria
  • Ensure the project is implemented in accordance with the proposal and of quality in accordance with international protection standards
  • Provide technical support to the consortia grants unit and partners to ensure the best use of resources by preparing solid budgets and controlling project expenses
  • Ensure timely submission of financial and narrative reports to donor
  • Supervise the consortium manager for protection, monitoring and evaluation manager and protection managers
  • Build and maintain productive working relationships with an extensive network of partners and stakeholders
  • Serve as the main representative of the protection consortium to donors, the poverty prevention working group, UNICEF, its partners and all other protection actors
  • Maintain communication with DFID protection advisor and DFID programme management team through formal and informal briefings and reports

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Human Rights, International Development, or a related field
  • Five years, minimum, of senior management experience in designing and implementing large protection programmes and working with local and international partners
  • Demonstrated ability to implement projects with rigorous deliverables in accordance with deadlines and donor regulations while maintaining high quality
  • Knowledge of major DFID regulations and experience in DFID funding is an asset
