The Women’s Rights Advancement and Protection Alternative (WRAPA) is seeking to fill the position of Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Consultant.
The WRAPA seeks to advance and protect the rights of women as provided by national laws and policies, regional and international treaties and agreement through an integrated approach that entrenches respect for the human dignity of the woman as well as her inclusion in decisions that affect her life and the development of her community.
Responsibilities
- Develop a work plan
- Review existing materials of VAWG in the project states, the existing laws, WRAPA past and present project strategies
- Design a comprehensive advocacy kit to include banners, posters, and fact sheets
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or a field tied to social sciences
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Three years, minimum, of work experience in communication, development, law or research at professional level
- In-dept understanding of social, institutional and political environment in project states, including an understanding of local power structures
- Knowledge of computer programmes including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of programme management and programme logistics support
- Positive team player with the ability to maintain good relationship
- Possess knowledge of industry practices
