World Vision International is seeking to fill the role of Recruitment Assistant Project (RAP) Manager.

The mission of the organisation includes working with the poor and people who are oppressed as it promotes human transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Suggest ideas for improving the quality of project and activities
  • Support the leader in improving the management of inputs and tools, planning, distribution and monitoring in close collaboration with the project team
  • Evaluate, develop and propose the tools to take stock of nutritional rehabilitation centres in severe outpatient care, equipment, access to water, assigned personnel, anthropometric equipment, medical inputs, register and application of admission criteria outputs
  • Support the training of head nurses and RCs in health districts
  • Support the head nurse and district doctor and ASC in the process of referral and counter-referral of patients from the PECIMA programme
  • Support the head nurse and district doctor and ASC in the process of referral and counter-referral of patients from the PECIMA programme
  • Ensure the technical monitoring of the application of PECIMA and the hydraulic and sanitation work in the field
  • Ensure the staff understand their role and provide continuous support to community members involved in the implementation of the interventions defined under the project with a presence in the field
  • Ensure the maintenance of the nutritional information system and WASH and analyse the performance of the project in relation to the action plan and the logical framework
  • Support project staff in the organisation and capacity building of community organisations (health committees)
  • Ensure the management, supervision, technical, operational and financial monitoring and reporting of drugs/nutritional inputs and WASH kits for the nutritional centres
  • Facilitate the integration and complementarity between the project and other projects (internal and external) operating in the area and provide technical support to other nutritional projects internal to WV for  good coordination of actions
  • Produce an activity report according to the established format and frequency

Requirements

  • Qualification in Nutrition Health or equivalent
  • Three years, minimum, of experience supervising a nutrition project or programme
  • Two years, minimum, of experience in managing a team
  • Knowledge of nutrition
  • Knowledge of community health, principles and approaches of community facilitation
  • Good writing skills
  • Knowledge of participatory design and planning
  • Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation
  • Interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Fluency in French
  • Knowledge of English and national languages ​​is an asset
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with government officials, World Vision staff, the public and other stakeholders at all levels
  • Computer skills
