World Vision International is seeking to fill the role of Nutrition Specialist/Field Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the technical monitoring of the construction of hydraulic and sanitation work in the field
  • Identify, activate, revitalise health committees
  • Organise meetings with health committees for the management (hygiene) of health structures
  • Ensure the list of logistical needs for drugs/nutritional inputs and WASH kits for each nutritional centre and USB (basic health unit) is properly maintained and updated
  • Monitor the implementation of training for health committees, IYCF optimal monitoring groups and community organisations
  • Provide continuous technical and operational support to public health structures and community health workers for the implementation of the PCIMA/ANJE
  • Participate in the analysis and monitoring of nutritional performance indicators of the project
  • Ensure the collection of the health information necessary for the analysis of the result indicators and transmit them to the project manager
  • Coordinate the team of care providers from the nutrition centre
  • Formulate and monitor the operational programme of the activities of the nutrition centre for the six-month project
  • Contribute to the development of follow-up/monitoring systems for NUT and WASH activities and reports in conjunction with the assistant project manager and the information system manager at DRAS
  • Collaborate with the regional representation of the DRAS, DRHA and MASEF for the joint supervision of field activities
  • Produce project activity reports
  • Support in the preparation of progress reports
  • Facilitate the strengthening of the technical capacities of staff and communities for quality service and improved project performance

Requirements

  • University degree in Social Sciences, Health Technology, or Biostatistics
  • Basic project experience in health and community nutrition
  • WASH technician with paramedical experience
  • Three years of relevant experience in the field
  • Good teamwork and fieldwork skills
  • Qualities of communication, animation and respect for interlocutors
  • Arabic and French skills (oral and written)
  • Excellent computer skills for processing statistics, keeping registers, and drafting reports
