World Vision International is seeking to fill the role of ICT Coordinator.
The mission of the organisation includes working with the poor and people who are oppressed as it promotes human transformation.
Responsibilities
- Provide first line technical assistance, and respond to support requests by phone, email or in person
- Maintain a high level of customer service for all support requests and adhere to the service level agreement
- Empower/train users on the best way to take care of their I.T. equipment
- Help the ICT coordinator to cope with the workload to ensure services are provided and maintained at agreed levels
- Keep a log of any software or hardware issues detected and assist users in operating I.T. equipment by providing orientation/training and guidance as needed
- Ensure regular data backup for users in accordance with disaster recovery policy and supervision
- Receive new computer hardware, ensuring it is entered into the asset database and maintain hardware and software using relevant checklists to ensure compliance with standards
- Redirect more complex calls to the appropriate member of ICT support
- Prepare ICT activity reports
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or a related field
- Five years, minimum, of experience in the area of information technology/information systems, preferably within an international NGO
- University degree in Computer Engineering preferred
- Ability to administer a network of offices
- Professional experience in handling Lotus Notes, Sun Systems and Windows
- Good communication skills in writing and speaking
- Qualification in application development will be a plus
