Apply: World Vision Grant Finance Coordinator

The World Vision International is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Grant Finance Coordinator.

The mission of the organisation includes working with the poor and people who are oppressed as it promotes human transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the preparation and review of programme/project budgets in accordance with World Vision International (WVI) guidelines, strategy and support office requirements
  • Work with all stakeholders in the preparation of budgets for new grants in all phases
  • Ensure financial reports are prepared, analysed and submitted monthly to stakeholders in accordance with the standards and policies of World Vision and the various Donors
  • Ensure the proper functioning of the internal control system on supplies, payments, banking operations, bank reconciliations, liquidity accounting
  • Support management to take corrective measures/actions on audit recommendations and regularly monitor progress made
  • Get actively involved in the preparation of grant audits as well as in the implementation of recommendations
  • Train the cluster team as well as the implementing partners on the financial policies and procedures of World Vision and the donors concerned
  • Review and consolidate monthly programme fund requests and advise management on budget control and cash flow management
  • Support the training and financial monitoring of grassroots community organisations and partners
  • Participate in the assessment of the financial capacity of potential partners and in the partner selection process
  • Assist partners in planning and budgeting projects
  • Engage in the development of agreements with partners, and consolidate the budget

Requirements 

  • Three years, minimum, of experience in a similar position
  • Experience in managing funds from USAID, DFID, ECHO, WFP, DFADT, Global Funds, etc
