World Vision International is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Field Coordinator.
The mission of the organisation includes working with the poor and people who are oppressed as it promotes human transformation.
Responsibilities
- Raise awareness among project partners at all levels (local authorities, community leaders, religious denominations, etc.)
- Strengthen the training of staff and partners in project objectives
- Complete and perfect control of the documentation related to the project (food assistance data collection forms)
- Control of statistics and identification of beneficiaries/project participants
- Strengthen the cash management circuit from reception to distribution, materialised by good reporting
- Liaison with field staff and the hierarchy (awareness and communications, staff safety across the board, etc.)
- Train and strengthen the capacity of staff under supervision
- In collaboration with project partners, monitor food movements, ensure documentation of food movements is up to the last beneficiary and respect the norms and standards of donors (WFP, USAID, Support Offices/FPMG)
- Participate in identification and registration activities based on vulnerability criteria agreed with donors/World Vision and encode the data collected
- Ensure adequate measures are taken for the proper unloading of food and non-food (in time and under appropriate conditions)
- Actively coordinate food distribution activities
- Produce monthly and circumstantial reports required in the management of food and non-food
- Prepare additional reports as requested by supervisor
- With the support of the CBT officer, supervise the food monitors in accordance with the human resources policy of WV
- Monitor the achievement of objectives, performance review, and the development plan of the project staff
Requirements
- Diploma in Accounting, or equivalent professional training
- Technical skills and aptitudes
- Two years, minimum, of experience as a field coordinator
- Community animation skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Valid motorcycle licence for at least two years
- Able to ride a motorcycle on difficult roads
- Available to travel and work in the field under very difficult conditions at least 20 days a month
