The World Food Programme (WFP) is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Senior Programme Associate.
WFP works to ensure the most vulnerable populations, especially women and children, can access the nutritious food they need.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day oversight and support the country offices on COMET use and programme data quality
- Track the progress of data entries and quality in COMET
- Liaise with RBN supply chain unit to support country offices in data reconciliation between COMET and LESS systems
- Coordinate and facilitate the follow up actions from joint monitoring and evaluation and programme data workstream
- Liaise with the headquarters’ COMET team to address identified data flow issues in the corporate systems and advise country offices accordingly
- Support capacity enhancement for country offices and RBN staff in use of WFP corporate systems for programme data visualisation and management
- Support the coordination of budget revisions and new Country Strategic Plans (CSPs) at the RBN, in particular, the review and approval processes
- Review budget revisions and new CSPs, with emphasis on the beneficiary numbers and requirements in the needs-based plan
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field, and/or training/courses in Statistics or a related field
- Three years, minimum, of relevant experience in programme management, data analysis and/or technical research
- Experience in analysing complex data to inform programme
- WFP country level programming experience is considered an asset
- Excellent understanding of COMET, Excel and basic understanding of statistics and data analysis
- Knowledge and ability to use the DOTS integration platform
- Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation principles
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines
- Ability to work effectively with people of different national and cultural backgrounds
- Excellent written and oral skills in English
- Knowledge of a second UN language will be a plus
