The World Food Programme (WFP) is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Partnerships Officer.
WFP works to ensure the most vulnerable populations, especially women and children, can access the nutritious food they need.
Responsibilities
- Implement the workplan for an assigned area to enable WFP to identify, develop and strengthen quality partnerships in support of WFP strategic objectives
- Contribute to a partnership portfolio, including partner profiling, data/trend analysis, and outreach activities, with the aim to maximise resources and leverage policy and technical support for WFP’s work
- Ensure partner visibility and conditions are met
- Propose options to managers to expand support from existing partners and to scope new partners
- Gather and share partner intelligence (including forecasting), using key information systems
- Solicit inputs from other functional entities, RBs, and COs on WFP’s programmatic offering that can gain traction
- Conduct analysis and draft quality briefs in support of outreach opportunities
- Gather socio-political insights to support WFP’s effective positioning vis-à-vis national governments, regional and international institutions with the aim to influence policy agenda
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in Political Science, International Development, Development Economics, International Relations, Law, Marketing, Communications, or a relevant field; or first degree with years of related work experience and/or training/courses
- Three years, minimum, of relevant professional work experience in partnership roles
- Fluency (level C) in English language and, possibly, the duty station’s language
- Nationality of Nigeria
