The World Food Programme (WFP) is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Monitoring and Evaluation Officer.
WFP is the world’s largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Strengthen process monitoring with timely quality monitoring and evaluation data and reports
- Enhance utility of monitoring and evaluation products through innovative mechanisms for sharing monitoring and evaluation findings
- Ensure outcome managers, activity managers and country office management have timely information on the performance of country strategic plan activities
- Ensure timely baselines, outcome monitoring and review reports
- Revise, update, and implement monitoring and evaluation guidelines
- Revise monitoring and evaluation tools to align with country strategic plan and CRF
- Provide timely inputs for corporate and donor reporting
- Provide support to APP process, ensuring timely inputs are provided by the functional areas
- Oversee work of enumerators and consultants
Requirements
- University degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Nutrition, Economics, Agriculture, International Affairs, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Project Management, and a relevant field
- Five years, minimum, of postgraduate work experience with UN agencies or other international development organisation in the areas of monitoring and evaluation, etc
- Experience in designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation systems, as well as a high level of analytical capability
- Excellent data analysis, writing and oral presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, etc, skills
- Ability to plan and organise work and supervise staff
- Fluency (level C) in English language
