The World Food Programme (WFP) has opened applications for the position of Human Resources Officer.

The WFP is the world’s largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-processing and analysis of structured and unstructured data
  • Query data from HR information systems and review reports to ensure data integrity
  • Analyse HR data and respond to quantitative information requests received from HR and other WFP colleagues as well as external bodies, including member states and United Nations organisations
  • Identify valuable data sources and automate data collection and visualisation processes
  • Build models to address business problems
  • Analyse large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns, and communicate highlights and trends from data
  • Present information using data visualisation techniques
  • Supervise the creation, maintenance and support a variety of moderate to complex reports and dashboards, utilising appropriate reporting and visualisation tools
  • Continuous evaluate methods of data collection and maintenance and recommend improvements
  • Research, troubleshoot and resolve data anomalies
  • Work with HR and corporate stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify business requirements, expected outcomes and relevant internal and external data sources
  • Supervise the preparation of corporate HR statistical reports for WFP management and staff

Requirements

  • Advanced University degree (or equivalent) in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics or Information Systems; or first university degree with related work experience and/or training/courses
  • Five years, minimum, of experience in a similar role, preferably with experience in an international context
  • Experience in data collection and analysis is essential
  • Experience in ERP Systems, statistical software packages and business intelligence tools
  • Experience in the analysis of HR and time-dependent data and the creation of workforce analytics
  • Knowledge of human resources business processes
  • Knowledge of SAP HR PA/OM/TM modules
  • Knowledge of SAP Payroll and Budget modules (desirable)
  • Knowledge of R, SQL, Python, data blending/transformation tools and data frameworks (desirable)
  • Knowledge of English (level C)
  • Knowledge of any of the following WFP working languages: Arabic, French, Spanish, Russian, Chinese or Portuguese
