Apply: WACSI Fundraising Capacity Programme

Deadline: 16 June, 2023

West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI), in partnership with Wilde Ganzen and Change the Game Academy, has opened applications for a local fundraising capacity strengthening programme.

The programme in Abuja, Nigeria, seeks to build the resilience of local Nigerian civil society organisations (CSOs) to be able to effectively mobilise funds internally and locally and also diversify resource streams for their work.

WACSI, in a research on the ‘Effects of Covid-19 on organisations in Nigeria’, found that over 55 percent of CSOs lacked the capacity to mobilise domestic resources while 79 percent of them had no financial reserves.

The need to support organisations to diversify their resources and grow towards sustainability has become even more crucial – particularly amongst organisations operating at grassroots and subnational levels.
