Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) is seeking to fill the role of Preplacement Training Co-facilitator.
VSO is an international development organisation that works through volunteers in 24 countries around the world.
Responsibilities
- Foster a sense of national unity, integration, social cohesion and peaceful coexistence among Ethiopian youths
- Promote a sense of national-identity and community service among Ethiopian youths
- Build employability skills and capacities of the youths
- Build capacities of Ethiopian youths to become self-sufficient through entrepreneurship and vocational skills development
Requirements
- Degree in Social Sciences from a recognised institution
- Short-term training in Volunteerism/Gender/Leadership/Life Skills, or a related area
- Experience in working as a volunteer/intern in any youth/community-based organisation
- Experience and attachment with community on voluntary and youth-related services
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English and local Ethiopian languages
- Basic computer skills
- Open to applicants between the ages of 21 and 34
