The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) is seeking to fill the role of Procurement Analyst.

UNOPS’ mission is to serve people in need by expanding the ability of the United Nations, governments and other partners to manage projects, infrastructure, and procurement in a sustainable and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

  • Timely and duly prepare delivery plans for procurement projects and monitor their implementation
  • Prepare ToR for service providers for freight forwarding, local distribution of the project items and repacking of consignment
  • Ensure full compliance with UNOPS rules, regulations, policies and strategies
  • Implement effective internal control, proper design and functioning of a client-oriented logistics management system
  • Implement or support different steps of the logistics, warehousing and handover processes for the procurement projects
  • Provide technical support and guidance to logistics processes of the business unit
  • Plan, design and implement appropriate logistics systems, including warehousing and in-country transport capacity
  • Manage the coordination and implementation of logistics activities, ensuring timely, cost-effective and safe delivery of goods and services to clients
  • Arrange transportation of equipment and materials to the designated location, including loading and unloading and ensure issuance of proper documentation, i.e., delivery notes, packing list, insurance, etc
  • Monitor the progress of shipments for UNOPS and its clients and coordinate the delivery of the same at the client’s delivery places

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field
  • Two years, minimum, of relevant experience is required in procurement or a related area
  • Knowledge of Google Suite applications will be an advantage
