United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of WASH Officer.

Responsibilities
- Prepare technical reports and inputs for programme preparation and documentation, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and relevance of information
- Prepare sectoral progress reports for management, donors and partners
- Undertake field visits and surveys, collect and share reports with partners/stakeholders
- Report critical issues, bottlenecks and potential problems to supervisor for timely action
- Take up support roles in an emergency response and early recovery
- Participate in interagency meetings on UNDAF planning, to integrate and harmonise UNICEF output results and implementation strategies with UNDAF development and planning processes
- Participate, as a resource person, in capacity-building initiatives to enhance the competencies of clients/stakeholders
Requirements
- University degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Behaviour Change Communication, Sanitary Engineering, or a related technical field
- Two years, minimum, of WASH-related programme experience
- Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency is considered an asset
- Fluency in French and working knowledge of English
- Knowledge of a local language is an asset
