United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Technology for Development (T4D) Officer.

Responsibilities
- Provide support in developing digital and innovation strategy for the country office, including assessment of T4D gaps, opportunities and scale-up strategy in support of the regional priorities
- Monitor progress and provide quality assurance during planning and deployment of T4D initiatives in Mali country office
- Participate in establishing and maintaining standards, documentation and support mechanisms for T4D
- Research, identify and engage with potential regional and country specific T4D partners and explore areas of engagement to promote and enhance UNICEF goals in the area of T4D
- Identify, capture, synthesise and share lessons learnt from T4D for integration into broader knowledge development planning, advocacy and communication efforts
- Work directly with programme teams and partners to adapt technology and innovative solutions appropriate to the country programme based on good practices globally
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in Information Technology Management, Business Administration, International Relations, Community Development, or a related field
- First university degree may be considered with two years of additional experience
- Two years, minimum, of professional experience in the innovative use of technology for development, particularly in the areas of data access, visualisation, mobile application and open source
- Relevant professional experience in supporting government and/or non-governmental organisation programming, including training and capacity building or equivalent professional work experience at the national and international levels
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and experience using web-based content management platforms, databases and information portals
- Fluency in English and French (oral and written)
- Knowledge of local language of the duty station (highly desirable)
