United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Planning Specialist.

Responsibilities
- Effective coordination and communication, including partnerships and collaboration
- Provide support to the UN SDGS group for the implementation of the 2030 agenda in Nigeria
- Ensure facilitation of knowledge building and management
- Support national and local capacity building/sustainability
- Provide support in the rollout of the UNDAF 2018-2022
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Economics, Social Sciences, International Relations, Political Science or a related field
- Five years, minimum, of relevant experience at the national and international levels handling development projects
- Experience in UN coordination and UNDAF mechanisms is a plus
- Knowledge about the UN and RC systems is a plus
- Experience in the use of computers and office software packages, and in handling of web-based management systems
- Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency is considered an asset
- Fluency in English language
- Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset
