United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Operations Associate.

Responsibilities
- In close coordination with the supervisor, provide practical inputs on implementation of administrative guidelines
- Support supervisor and update procedures such as office committees, table of authority and assign roles to staff under the table of authority with the approval of the deputy representative, operations
- Keep supervisor abreast of potential problem areas and prepare reports on administrative matters as required
- Provide administrative support and services to sub-country (zone) offices and out postings, where applicable, including preparation and funding of service contracts
- Support the operations section meetings, including recording of minutes and/or notes at such meetings
- Assist the deputy representative, operations, in the preparation of the country programme management plan (CPMP)
- Assist supervisor in preparing estimates on office premises, supplies and equipment requirements for budget preparation purposes
- Assist in reviewing staff costs
- Conduct periodic review of funds allocated to operations including institutional budget for effective and timely use of funds
- Provide support to the supervisor in organising and maintaining appointments, calendars and schedules of meetings
- Contribute to the reviews of contractual arrangements related to administrative and operational support and monitor payments against contractual obligations
Requirements
- Completion of secondary school education
- University level courses in Administration, Finance, or a related field is an asset
- Six years, minimum, of progressively responsible administrative or clerical work experience
- Fluency in English
- Nationality of Sierra Leone
