The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is recruiting to fill the position of Nutrition Specialist.

Responsibilities

  • Support quality assurance and monitoring of implementation of project
  • Support quality assurance and monitoring of partnerships
  • Conduct field visits to the selected countries
  • Support countries to link simplified care approaches to prevention packages
  • Identify key evidence and information gaps needed to influence policy and practice
  • Synthesise key learning from countries in a systematic and methodical way
  • Track the scale-up of modifications in countries across the region
  • Represent UNICEF at relevant conferences and workshops and TAGs for prevention and treatment of wasting
  • Support dissemination of findings via sharing of information using UNICEF platforms
Requirements
  • Advanced university degree in Social Sciences, Nutrition, Public Health, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree with two years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree
  • Five years, minimum, of experience in nutrition programming and/or research design and implementation
  • Experience in programme management (desirable)
  • Ability to express clearly and concisely ideas and concepts in written and oral form
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Experience in conducting and managing research projects
  • Fluency in French and English
