United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Human Resources Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the HR business partner by advising clients on HR-related needs and developing subsequent plan of action
  • Provide accurate and timely advice to clients on HR processes and policies, ensuring the highest level of client-orientation
  • Liaise with the HQ divisions, regional and country offices to support and contribute to corporate HR strategy formulation and global implementation
  • Provide feedback and make recommendations on the establishment and improvement of HR systems, policies and processes
  • Provide support to various or one specific HR occupation (recruitment, job classification, career development, performance management, data analytics, learning and development, etc.) to help supervisors implement efficient client services
  • Assign casework in relevant area on either a routine or non-routine basis
  • Analyse and synthesise issues and problems, and interpret established, formal guidelines to address and recommend solutions or further actions required

Requirements

  • University degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management, International Relations, Psychology, or a related field
  • Two years, minimum, of professional experience in human resource management in an international organisation and/or large corporation
  • Solid experience in managing emergency recruitments and deployment of standby partners and cluster coordinators
  • Ability to support the safety and well-being of emergency staff in view of the increased risks of emergency environment
  • Knowledge of another official UN language is considered an asset
  • Fluency in French and English
