United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is currently seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Education Officer.

The role is tied to the UNICEF Programme of Cooperation with the Zambian government designed to address and mitigate the threat of poverty the country’s children face.

Responsibilities

  • Support programme development and planning
  • Monitor programme management
  • Render technical and operational support
  • Build networking and partnership
  • Manage knowledge and capacity building

Requirements

  • University degree in one of Education, Psychology, Sociology or another relevant technical field
  • Two years, minimum, of professional experience in programme planning, management, and/or research in education
  • Experience working in a developing country is considered as an asset
  • Experience working in emergency setting is considered as an asset
  • Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organisation is considered as an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills in effectively communicating and actively maintaining/enhancing stakeholder coordination and networking
  • Fluency in English
  • Knowledge of another official UN language or local language of the duty station is considered as an asset
