United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is seeking to fill the role of Communication Officer.

Responsibilities
- Develop storylines and key messages for UNICEF Sudan’s work for key stakeholders, donors and the general public
- Develop communication products (e.g., website and social media content, feature articles, and print and audiovisual products) to promote UNICEF’s work, convey important advocacy public messaging, support resource mobilisation efforts, as well as meet the information needs of donors and other stakeholders
- Draft and edit written materials, including feature stories, news reports, fact sheets and questions and answers, ensuring accuracy, consistency, coherence, and adherence to UNICEF House Style
- Support UNICEF country and regional offices, and relevant departments in proactively communicating through developing strategies and content
- Promote UNICEF’s work through UNICEF digital platforms, media queries/pitches, and spokesperson interviews/briefings
- Partner with colleagues across the communication team to ensure alignment, timeliness, quality and innovative approaches to communications products
- Participate in or organise public events
- Work closely with ICTD, RO and HQ digital team on support and maintenance of digital analytics tools
- Produce weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual analytical reports to assess the effectiveness and impact of digital output
- Based on the analysis, make recommendations to the team on how to best apply those insights
- Organise and design an internal communications database/repository based on relevant data sets and information available within the organisation
- Provide digital analytics pieces of training and hands-on demonstrations to the section and others as needed
- Perform all other related duties as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field plus two years, minimum, of demonstrated professional experience
- Two years, minimum, of experience in digital communications/media or field related to external digital media
- Significant experience in developing and implementing communication content and strategies
- Experience in producing content for online media
- Fluency in English and Arabic
- Nationality of Sudan
