United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is seeking to fill the role of Communication for Development (C4D) Specialist.

Responsibilities
- Manage and support state level partners and C4D officers in the implementation of the Integrated Community Mobilisation Network programmes across the country
- Provide technical support to government counterparts/EPI department in undertaking situation analysis
- Support development and implementation of standardised and harmonised data collection tools for ICMN activity reporting
- Provide technical support to state teams in data management and usage for planning risk communication activities at state level
- Support the national Ministry of Health to strengthen the social mobilisation working groups as platforms hosted by the government for the coordination and harmonisation of all activities
- Strengthen capacity through provision of technical guidance to UNICEF national-level staff as well as state-government’s social mobilisation working groups
- Provide technical support to UNICEF C4D officers and implementing partners in the development and/or sharing of relevant standards, protocols, guidelines, and training materials
- Support the management of section-wide information management repository, i.e., share-point and related platforms
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, or Health Education
- Five years, minimum, of progressive professional work experience in social development programme planning, communication for development, public advocacy, public health, or a related area
- Work experience in emergency duty station and familiarity with the region (desirable)
- Experience in humanitarian/emergency programming
- Experience in handling South Sudan programming (asset)
- Experience with network of social mobilisers will be a plus
- Fluency in English
- Nationality of South Sudan
