The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Operations Assistant.

UNDP works in nearly 170 countries and territories, promoting programmes tackling poverty, and minimising inequalities and exclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Review and assign incoming cases in line with established procedures and responsibilities
  • Respond to enquiries from all stakeholders (candidates, volunteers, host entities, UNV personnel) in English, Spanish and/or French, and ensure timely case resolution as per key performance indicators
  • Assist individuals facing difficulties using UNV’s systems
  • Contribute to solving recurring issues faced by users of UNV’s systems, processes and policies through proposing and testing solutions, aiming at reducing the number of cases created and enhancing the user experience
  • Suggest new or revised enquiry templates and other self-service content in line with the evolving nature of queries received
  • Assist in translations of standard service desk correspondence and self-service content in all three UNV working languages

Requirements

  • Secondary education
  • Higher technical diploma or first university degree in Communications, Human Resources or Business Administration (desirable)
  • Five years, minimum, of relevant work experience in customer/client support, human resources, or office administration
  • Experience in using MS Office 365
  • Experience in using web-based customer service software, and web-based management systems/ERPs
  • Experience in using Salesforce Service Cloud will be a plus
  • Experience in an international or non-profit context will be a plus
  • Experience working with volunteers will be an asset
  • Fluency in English
  • Proficiency in Spanish, French or another UN language will be an asset
