United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) is seeking applications from eligible applicants for the post of Programme Management Specialist.
UNCDF makes public and private finance work for the poor in the world’s 47 least developed countries (LDCs).
Responsibilities
- Provide robust programme management for Local Development Finance Practice (LDFP) theory of change within Africa
- Ensure the observance of mechanisms to monitor programmes, lead evaluation processes and report on result
- Coordinate resource mobilisation and donor reporting requirements for the LDFP programmes including narrative and financial reporting
- Liaison with the UNCDF office of finance and management services and partnerships, policy and communications units and teams in partnership with relevant LDFP programme staff
Requirements
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Public Administration, Law, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Five years, minimum, of experience in the field of programme management, project management and/or operations or a related field, with three years, minimum, of experience in programme/project planning and implementation
- Experience working in a least developed country preferred
- Experience in compliance and quality assurance preferred
- Experience/familiarity with result monitoring and reporting preferred
- Demonstrable project management, budget/financial management and coordination skills
- In-depth knowledge of relevant UN organisational policies and procedures preferred
- Fluency in English and French
- Excellent communication skills
