Apply: U.S. Embassy in Ethiopia Julia Taft Fund

The U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, has opened applications for the 2022 Julia Taft Fund for Refugees.

The Julia Taft Fund for Refugees, also known as the Ambassador’s Refugee Fund, is an initiative by the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM) to respond to critical unmet needs of refugees.

Created in 2000, the Julia Taft Fund for Refugees supports projects that fill gaps in refugee services not already being addressed by other organisations and that can be filled locally.

Benefits

  • Successful applicant can receive up to U.S. $25,000

Eligibility

  • The Julia Taft Fund for Refugees is limited to registered non-governmental organisations (NGOs) with at least one to two years of experience working in Ethiopia
  • Preference will be given to local NGOs and civil society organisations (CSOs)
