Apply: U.S. Embassy Community Small Project Grants

The United States Embassy in Conakry, Guinea, has opened applications for the Community Small Project Grants.

The programme, which is under the Ambassador’s Self-Help Fund (SSH), is designed to improve basic economic and social conditions in local communities.

It is also designed to support high impact, quick implementation activities that benefit a large number of people.

The U.S. Embassy in Conakry provides small grants to registered self-help groups, community-based organisations, non-governmental organisations, and certain educational institutions.

The objective is to aid groups develop projects that improve living conditions in their communities.

Benefits

  • Awards may range from a minimum of $5,000 to a maximum of $15,000

Eligibility

  • All applicants must be registered non-profits based in Guinea
  • Proposed programmes should be completed in 12 months or less
  • Proposals are welcome from non-governmental organisations, schools, community associations, and other local groups that work directly with communities
  • Not open to for-profit or commercial entities
  • Proposals must be submitted in English
